Camp King Christmas Market

Monday, December 8th, 2008

As I had announced this Christmas market in a previous post, I will now give a brief report about it. Visitors were plenty in accordance to the size of the market. We contributed by having Glühwein and crepes and I also found a lovely present for my sister.

There were seven stalls there with two of them selling beverages and food. The number of vendors has grown, but only slightly.

If you are interested in selling your goods at the Camp King Christmas Market in 2009, then please contact Bollinger bookstore for more information.

ANNOUNCEMENT

This coming Sunday, December 7th, the area of Camp King will host its fourth Christmas market for one day only.

hours: 14:30 – 18:00.

This market is taking place on historical ground – the former military post Camp King. For a great updated aerial view, click here. Some of the former residential buildings are still standing and can be easily identified on that photo.

In the beginning, namely the year 2005,  there were only a couple of stands in front of the bookshop Bollinger. With each additional year, more vendors show up to sell their goods in time for Christmas.

Every year I take my children there to enjoy some crêpes, we browse at the bookshop, and talk to our Camp King neighbors. This market is still in its baby shoes, but your attendance can help it grow.

Hope to see you there!
