Rosetta Stone coming to Frankfurt

Based on this job ad in Mix am Mittwoch (25 May 2011), I learned Rosetta Stone, the leading language-learning software company, is coming to Frankfurt.

Plans include the opening of a shop in the shopping center MyZeil in Frankfurt by the end of June 2011.

The ad is looking for a full-time shop manager  and a part-time salesclerk. Applications are to be sent to Klara Borsodi at: kborsodi@rosettastone.com

Our son has been using Rosetta Stone to learn Japanese and our daughter has started to pick up Spanish. I have only heard good reviews about this language-learning software so far.

Who knows – with Rosetta Stone moving into our lives, my profession as a private teacher might be on its way out. Gradually, that is.

Oberursel Hessentag and Blocked Roads

Oberursel is going to host Hessentag from 10 – 19 June. During this time, many major roads in Oberursel will be blocked for regular traffic.

To obtain a pass (to go to and from your home, meet your yoga teacher, chauffeur your kid to school,  go to work, etc.), you have to apply for a permit, either at the local Rathaus or online at hessentag2011 (in German).

Son Thomas spent three weeks visiting ISSOS summer program for St Andrews last year. He attended Debate and joined the Golf sessions. Next to learning quite a bit, he also found it very enjoyable. Definitely recommendable.
