List of English movies playing in Frankfurt
One of the first things many expats to the Frankfurt area want to know is the English movie theater location along with the play list of movies in English. I found Frankfurt International Film Listing to be a comprehensive and useful site. But to be on the safe side, you might want to consider to call ahead to confirm its age rating. Nothing more annoying than having your teenage children come home disappointed, because they could not get in to see a certain film…
Granted, our only English movie theater Turmpalast is not in good condition, but my children have never complained about it as long as the movie was good and popcorn was not sold out. Enjoy this derelict theater while it lasts – mid 2010 will see the end of this old theater. The theater will be torn down and consequently, no more money is being invested into the upkeep. I have also read that ticket prices have gone up to € 9,50. Again, enjoy the last of this era – the only movie theater showing English films will soon be gone with the wind.

What a shame that they are going to tear the turmpalast down… It will be hard finding a theater to replace it, since not many show movies in English here.
