  1. I realize that this is not the point of the advertisement, but nonetheless I have a question: If he’s blind, how does he know that it really is a beautiful day? It might not be raining (as he would be able to feel/hear that), but it could still be overcast or otherwise unpleasant. In any case, the sign is more original and moving than something along the lines of “Got no work, change much appreciated”. 😛

  2. I already saw this video in Spanish, filmed in Mexico with a beautiful sunny day, that makes sense, but this grey British day does not help much to the idea!. Do this company copied the original video, did the Mexican guy or did someone pay royalties?. That I do not know, but I´m afraid…

    I found it!
This is the link to the original video that won the Cannes 2008 short film online competition. It is called “Historia de un letrero” from Alonso AlvĂĄrez Barreda.
This short story winner of the 2008 Cannes Festival shows how the power of words and the kindness of strangers can have a big impact. Film produced by Alonso Alvarez Barreda.

The music used in the film is “In bicicletta” from the Il Postino (The Postman) soundtrack. Composer is Luis Enriquez Bacalov.

  4. What´s even more, there is also a polemic in internet about this short story too, because there was also a previous Spanish film (2006) from Francisco Cuenca that seems to be the real original version.
