APPLEFEST IS HERE!

Button up your fall jackets and join Frankfurt International School (FIS) on Sunday for one of the largest, fun-filled family events – Applefest!
Here are just a few of things you and your family can expect to find at the Sunday celebration:
• Games – Endless fun for the kids, including a bouncy castle, face painting, sack race, tin can alley, soccer shoot-out, putting green, crafts and more. New this year to the event is the Apple Rally, a fact-finding adventure for kids to learn more about the numerous FIS service groups running the booths at the festival.
• Food & Drink – Sample tasty apple wine, fresh pressed apple juice, caramel apples, quiche, baked goods and other harvest delights. Plus, brats, burgers, pizza and beer.
• Bake Sale and Contest – Whip up your favorite apple-themed recipe and enter our baking contest to win fabulous prizes. Or just contribute a baked item for the bake sale to help Earth Rescue benefit endangered wolves.
• Live Entertainment – Enjoy music on the main stage featuring Celtic folk band Flahulach and the FIS Jazz Band.
• Arts & Crafts Vendor Market – Stroll through the vendors’ market where you will find Polish pottery, pashminas from Nepal and Tibet, jackets and rugs from India, books, French linens, paintings, jewelery, and much more.
• Dunk Tank – What Applefest would be complete without the opportunity to soak teachers and administrators in the Dunk Tank?
Free shuttle service will be available from the parking lots of Edeka and Rolls Royce (both on Hohemarkstr.) to the FIS campus on a continual basis throughout the fest. Please DO NOT attempt to park at the school!
