Our local historian, Manfred Kopp, has gathered all his material about Oberursel and its significance during the WWII era in a presentation called ‘Flieger ohne Flügel’ (Pilots without Wings).
This 53-page article also contains some photos taken during that time (1939 – 1945).

Back to 2021. This house was the former Bieneninstitut (Bee Institute) before WWII, and is now in private hands.
This is the path leading up to the Mountain Lodge at Camp King. Both photos were taken about a week ago. Spring is late this year.
