Ever since my trip to the Faroe Islands in May 2008, I have become more interested in its people, culture and language. I would love to spend a year on these islands.

While I was there, I often got the chance to listen to Faroese and could occasionally guess a bit of the content of the conversation. To my German ears it sounded like a remake of English and Danish.
